Guidelines for Abstract Submission

Abstracts are to be submitted in English. The abstract text (without abstract title / authors / institutes) must not exceed 2500 characters including blank spaces.
Original data should be presented at the congress. With the submission, the authors assume responsibility for the correctness of the data. The author is responsible for the clarification of possible copyrights of third parties regarding the contents of the abstract.
A submission is only possible as an oral and/or poster.

Invitation

We are honored to cordially invite you to the 2025 International Congress on Ultrasonics, which will take place in the beautiful city of Paderborn, Germany, from September 21st to 25th, 2025.

The 2025 International Congress on Ultrasonics (ICU) is organised by the ICU-Board and Paderborn University, Germany.

This international congress is the ninth worldwide meeting of the ultrasonics community and will continue the long tradition of ultrasound conferences (which are held every two years). The first congresses took place in Vienna in 2007, with subsequent events in Santiago de Chile, Gdansk, Singapore, Metz, Honolulu, Bruges and Beijing.

The objective of the ICU congress is to convene specialists and experts from science and industry across of ultrasound disciplines. This includes the latest findings on the basic knowledge of ultrasound propagation as well as the diverse applications in industry (material characterization, non-destructive testing, process measurement technology, sonochemistry …) or in medicine (for diagnostics and therapy), etc. The congress offers all participants a valuable and unique opportunity to present your latest research results to scientists from all over the world, find valuable contacts and exchange experiences.
